Alvord Desert Display Stand:

The Alvord Desert Display Stand is intended for works with a flat or mostly horizontal lower edge.
Long or irregularly shaped pieces benefit from being able to extend through the pairs of fingers. The Alvord Desert can support moderately tall pieces with its long strong fingers. Taller work may benefit from the additional support available from the Fort Rock Display Stand.
Panels and tiles look more significant and complete when displayed vertically compared to when propped in a plate easel. Plus, this stand holds your work from the lower edge and does not produce unsightly shadows.
The soaring arched legs introduce a subtle dynamic tension to rectangular artworks which increases their immediacy and impact.
CHOOSING THE RIGHT SIZE:
Artwork will need to be longer than the distance between the display stand's finger pairs.
For example:
An 8 inch tile can fit in the "Small" stand (six inch distance between finger pairs) because about an inch on both edges of the 8 inch tile will protrude beyond the stand's finger pairs and hold it up. A 6 inch tile would fall through the six inch distance between finger pairs.
Longer pieces can go into smaller stands as well as into more closely matched stands. For example:
A 12 inch long panel could be displayed in "Small", Medium" or "Large" Display Stands and the choice is aesthetic.
